Bio
I currently advise Open Option and Pre-Law students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and teach LAS 1010 in the fall semesters, for our incoming Open Option and Pre-Professional students.
Previously, I taught Introduction to Women and Gender Studies (WGS 2010), which I also taught as a Master’s student. During graduate school, I also taught Introduction to Sociology, Social Class and Inequality (SOC 3310), and Dialogues on Diversity (HSCI 1500).
My degrees are in Sociology (PhD, The University of Edinburgh, 2019; MS, Iowa State University 2012; BA, Iowa State University 2010), Social Research (MSc, The University of Edinburgh, 2013), Religious Studies (BA, Iowa State University, 2010), and Liberal Studies (BLS, Iowa State University, 2010).
I have completed RESPOND training for Campus Mental Health, Recovery Ally training, and Green Dot violence intervention training. I am also an advisor to The Pride Alliance student organization.
