LAS Pulse is a group of appointed LAS students that can provide the deans of the college with an increased pulse on the climate, culture, and access within LAS. This is a leadership opportunity for students, and they will have the opportunity to engage in constructive conversation with the LAS Dean and other college deans during monthly meetings.
Member responsibilities
LAS Pulse members will attend monthly meetings and provide candid feedback regarding personal experiences within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and broader campus community. Students will represent their perspective and try to capture the views of their peers.
LAS Pulse members represent the academic breadth of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and have primary majors across departments. In the 2026-2027 academic year, the following majors and programs have student representation: biochemistry, biology, climate science, computer science, criminal Justice, English, genetics, history, integrated health sciences, mathematics, music and theatre, psychology, political science, scientific illustration and visualization, and sociology.
Upcoming meetings
LAS Pulse meets monthly from September-November and from February-April. Meetings are held in 302 Catt Hall from 12pm-1pm with lunch provided.
