Bio
I serve as an Academic Advisor in LAS and work specifically with Psychology majors.
I earned my degree in Psychology (B.A.-University of Northern Iowa 2016) where I then came to ISU and completed my second degree in Student Affairs (M.Ed. – ISU 2019). I enjoy teaching, I have taught the Psychology orientation course and PSYCH 131. My favorite part of my day is getting to know my students on a personal level, sharing Netflix recommendations, and helping make college feel more like home.
Outside of advising, I enjoy spending my time being active with my family (husband who teaches at Van Meter and our two dogs), watching college basketball/football, the Packers, and St Louis Cardinals. I am super competitive and love playing different sports. I also love to read, try new restaurants in Des Moines, spend time with friends and watch lots of different TV shows.
