Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series highlights faculty excellence in learning, discovery, and engagement in Iowa State’s largest college. The dean invites LAS faculty of distinction to present lectures from their own areas of expertise on topics of interest to the general public, designed to stimulate high-quality, intellectual discussion among faculty, staff, students, and community members.

Manatt-Phelps Lecture in Political Science
The annual Manatt-Phelps Lecture in Political Science brings to campus a prominent practitioner or scholar to address the ISU community on issues of significance to the United States and to Iowa in international political economy.

Mary Louise Smith Chair
The Mary Louise Smith Chair in Women and Politics brings nationally renowned political leaders, scholars and activists to Iowa State University to enrich the experiences of students and educate citizens about women in politics and their leadership roles in society. Since fall 1996, 35 women have visited campus as the recipient of the chair.

ISU Lectures Program
The Iowa State Lecture Series welcomes speakers and guests from across the country and around the world. Events include talks, panels, book signings, political debates, academic forums, and cultural events such as musical performances, art and dance programs, films, and more.
