Passport Reimbursement Program
Up to 20 first-time travelers in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences who apply to study abroad during 2010-2011 will be partially reimbursed for passport application costs up to $100.
Core Fulbright Scholar Program
The core Fulbright Scholar Program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year. Grantees lecture and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.
New Century Scholar Program
Each year the NCS Scholar Program brings together approximately thirty outstanding research scholars and professionals from the U.S. and abroad. NCS Scholars engage in collaborative, multidisciplinary examination of a topic of universal concern and together seek solutions to critical issues affecting all humankind.
Fulbright Specialists Program
The Fulbright Specialists Program is designed to provide short-term academic opportunities (two to six weeks) for U.S. faculty and professionals.
Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program
Candidates should be senior scholars and have a significant publication and teaching record.
Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program provides grants to approximately 850 foreign scholars from over 95 countries to lecture and/or conduct postdoctoral research at U.S. institutions for an academic semester to a full academic year.
Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers fellowships for U.S. graduating college seniors, graduate students, young professionals and artists to study abroad for one academic year. In academic year 2008-2009, more than 1,500 Americans are studying abroad with either full or partial support from the Fulbright Program.
Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships (ETA) Program
Places U.S. students as English teaching assistants in schools or universities overseas. ETAs may also pursue individual study/research plans in addition to their teaching responsibilities.
Fulbright Foreign Student Program
Enables graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to research and study in the United States for one year or longer.
Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program
Provides young teachers of English as a Foreign Language the opportunity to refine their teaching skills and broaden their knowledge of American culture and customs while strengthening the instruction of foreign languages at colleges and universities in the United States.
Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program
brings outstanding mid-career professionals from developing and emerging countries to the United States for a year of professional development and non-degree academic work at the graduate level. Grants are awarded in various social and public policy fields.
Grants awarded to individual U.S. K-14 pre-teachers, teachers and administrators, predoctoral students and post-doctoral faculty, as well as to U.S. institutions and organizations to support research and training efforts overseas, which focus on non-western foreign languages and area studies.
